Elijah
Name: Elijah
Age: 11 years
Breed: Tibetan Spaniel mix
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Adoption fee: $495
Cat friendly: No
Another dog in the home: Yes
Interstate adoption: NSW & ACT only
Elijah’s foster carer has this to say about him.
“Elijah loves to be outside and can most often be found sunning himself in the garden. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, a collection of small golden oldies. On leash Elijah or Eli as he’s affectionately known can be a bit reactive to new dogs but is progressing well with his training.
Being 10 years old, Eli is a bit set in his ways, he knows what he likes and what he doesn’t, he is learning through gentle leadership how to be a well behaved gentleman but he can sometimes be a little bit of a grump so is best in an adult only home.”
Elijah does have some arthritis but after a course of anti-inflammatory injections is feeling much better, his new family would need to be aware of when he might be feeling a little sore and get him a vet check-up. He might benefit from some daily help with something like Rosehip Vital.
Elijah needs access inside when his family are home and has a long coat that requires regular brushing to avoid matting. We know that the perfect retirement home is out there for Eli.
If you meet the criteria and feel like your home might be just right for Elijah, please email a detailed description of your home and lifestyle to info@deniseatpaws.com.au

Nikita is an 11 year old Pom Mix - gorgeously sassy and quite the personality when you get to know her!
She loves hanging out with you on the couch and having belly rubs but also likes to chase a ball and play with her squeaky toys- the goal being to remove the squeak!!She loves running on the sand and chasing seagulls too.
She is very loving and protective and likes to bark at the neighbourhood dogs barking as if to say “I’m Queen of this Hood”- from the safety of the balcony of course! She likes short walks too -, especially in the sun.
Adoption Criteria:
-Nikita is best suited as the only dog in the home, she likes humans all to herself!

Buddy and Loki
Name: Buddy and Loki
Age: 6 years
Breed: Beagle Mix
Sex: Male
Size: Medium to Large
Adoption Fee: $800 (Bonded Pair)
Cat Friendly: No
Another dog in the home: No
Interstate adoption: NSW & ACT only
Buddy and Loki are two lovable Beagle mix brothers from different crossbreed litters, they are sweet as sugar and too cute to boot.
Now fully grown (both over 25kgs) they are well past the naughty stage and love to lounge around the house together, playing, having a wrestle, and keeping each other company. Both boys are toilet trained, use a doggy door, and are home during the day alone a few days a week.
Access inside as they please, this is what the boys are accustom to and like this arrangement. Ideally, their new fam will have a decent sized yard for them to also explore. Daily walks and exercise are an absolute must, they enjoy walks and going to the dog park, have loads of energy to burn but are happy to just chill for the remainder of the day.
They have toddlers in the home that they tolerate well, but being hounds, their noses rule their lives and are always looking out for a dropped "snack" or to "share" their food. Older children or teenagers would be more suitable.
These boys are delightfully sweet but are larger dogs (between 25-33kgs) and will require a family that can handle their size, experience with larger dogs is preferred but not essential.
Please read the criteria carefully and if you feel you tick all the boxes and would like to add two handsome lads to your family, please email a detailed description of your home and lifestyle to info@deniseatpaws.com.au

Do you like your ladies with curves and swerves! We’ll check out these voluptuous girls!
Scamp and Tinker came into our care after their beloved dad passed away, they have only known love and you can tell because these two have such sweet, kind natures and the sheer site of their low riding bodies makes you melt.
What type of home are these ladies looking for, keep reading :
Scamp and Tinker are after a retirement home, somewhere they can potter around and be doted upon.
Short strolls and a good diet are needed to get rid of some of those extra kilos... currently Scamp (black and tan) is the heavier of the two and requires some extra motivation to get that body moving.
These girls get along with other animals but are probably best suited to being the only dogs in the home as they sure do like to soak up all the love.
A family committed to their ongoing health, Tinker has arthritis in her hip and requires pain management, ie anti-inflammatory injections.
Access inside, this is what the girls are used to and enjoy. They are housetrained and just want to chill by the couch. A bucketload of pats and butt scratches because... of course!
If you think your home is missing two curvaceous ladies, email us at info@deniseatpaws.com.au detailing your home. If the inn is full, please share and spread the word about these gorgeous girls.

Interstate adoption: NSW upto Newcatle and Canberra

Meet Kiki, our sweet 4-year-old female Cavoodle who is now ready for her forever home. Kiki is a gentle and placid companion, happiest when she’s close by her owner’s side, and she currently shares her space with another small dog. Despite her tough beginnings, she remains affectionate and craves the warmth and attention she truly deserves.
Kiki would thrive in a quiet household, ideally without young children, and where she wouldn’t be left alone for extended periods. She’s flexible in her companionship, she could be homed as a solo dog or alongside another playful pup, as long as love and devotion are at the heart of her new environment.
She’s fully toilet trained and confidently uses the doggy door, although she hasn’t mastered any commands just yet. Kiki is a little overweight, and has already lost a few kilo’s during her foster care, so she’s looking for someone dedicated to helping her with regular short daily walks and the correct feeding habits, she’s a delightful lead walker, always content to stroll right beside you. For the rest of her day, she loves nothing more than to nap and shadow her family around the house.
If you think your home could be the right fit for Kiki, we’d be thrilled to hear from you! Her coat is wonderfully poodle like and will need grooming every 6-8 weeks. As is common with her breed, she’s had some issues with her ears and teeth, so regular cleaning and monitoring are important. She’s recently had both professionally cleaned, and ongoing care will help keep her happy and healthy. Kiki is a house dog and must always have access to inside via an open door or a doggie door, she is currently in care with a Cavalier. We do not know how she is with cats or other small animals.
* Please remember to include as much information as possible when applying to adopt Kiki. Home checks are done for all our dogs going into a new home.

Meet snuggly little Eevee. With her short legs, long body, and longer bright orange fur, she's an unusual head turner at dog park! Her favourite things are snuggling, chasing balls, rumbling with her foster brothers and sisters, and faithfully following her boyfriend/foster dad . We're not sure if it's Jason or all men, but she's completely smitten with him.
Eevee adores kids and people, is housetrained and quiet in the car. She sleeps through the night. She's lovely.
What she needs in her home.
At least one if not more, confident friendly dogs in her new home. She's currently fostered in a big pack and she's thriving. She will not be rehomed as an only dog and is not suited to an apartment.
Yes, to respectful, dog savvy kids over 6. This could be the childhood dog they always remember. Make her part of your family, camping, weekend sport, beach trips. She is ready.
A family committed to working with her on her weight loss. She is currently 14.5kg, she must get down to 11kg. The extra weight is dangerous to her health and is very serious for a dashie. We can advise.
* Please remember to include as much information as possible when applying to adopt Evee. Home checks are done for all our dogs going into a new home.

FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME NEEDED URGENTLY FOR GINA WHO IS IN SYDNEY.
Gina is in Sydney, she is a two-year-old scruffy mix who weighs around six kilos and is looking for a new home where she can feel loved and have the security of a nice family. She is not the right match for her current fur family and would thrive in a home as an only dog. She is a sweet young girl who enjoys a calm life and a steady routine.
She will do best in a quiet home with no small children and someone who is home more often than not. Gina can be a little unsure around cars although she does go out with a dog walker and manages well when things are not to busy. A peaceful area when she is out walking, with secure fencing will help her feel safe and confident.
Gina loves her toys and she absolutely loves to swim. She has very good recall at the off-leash park and she listens well when asked to sit or when invited up onto the lounge. Gina is house trained, she is on a home cooked diet which she enjoys, she loves Kongs filled with peanut butter and sleeps all night long in her bed or on the couch. She is still young and ongoing training will help her continue to grow into the lovely dog she is. Gina will fit right in in the right enviroment, she may take a little time to bond with her person but with kindness and encouragement that will come in spades.
All in all Gina is a beautiful little soul who simply needs the right home. She will thrive with someone who understands her, gives her structure, and lets her blossom at her own pace.

Hester

Breed: Pug
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Adoption fee: $495
Cat friendly: NA
Another dog in the home: Yes
Interstate adoption: NSW upto Newcatle and Canberra
Location: Sydney

Hester is the loveliest little Pug on the planet, a happy, friendly, social butterfly who moves through the world as though everyone is already his friend. While in care with his foster family he has lived a full and joyful life, he has been to the office where he was an instant hit, he has trotted along to netball training and then proudly attended the Saturday games, and he has become a café‑social regular who loves nothing more than being right there in the middle of the action.
He adores other dogs, especially Pugs, and has formed a beautiful bond with his foster Puggies, Elvis and Frank. His foster home has given him a wonderful time, and he has soaked up every moment, even sleeping on his foster sister’s bed at night, curled up against her as though he has always belonged.
Hester loves going out for walks, loves meeting people, loves being included, and truly enjoys life to the maximum. He would thrive in a home with another Pug, as he lights up around them and seems to find great comfort in their company. He is a house Pug through and through and must always have access inside the home, close to his people and part of daily life.
Hester is eight years old and was heartbreakingly dumped at the pound, but he has shown nothing but sweetness, resilience and joy.
*Please remember to include as much information as possible when applying to foster to adopt Hester. Home checks are done for all our dogs going into a new home.
If you meet the above criteria and think that your home might be just what Hester is looking for, please fill the application form by clicking the button below ↓ or the QR code at the the bottom of the page.
Kookie
Name: Kookie
Age: 9 years
Breed: Pomerarian
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Adoption fee: $495
Cat friendly: NA
Another dog in the home: Yes
Interstate adoption: NSW upto Newcastle and ACT Only
Location: Sydney
R251 000 066
Kookie is a tiny little Pomeranian of around 4.5 kilos, born November 2016 and is a perfect gentleman wrapped in a soft ginger coat. He is wonderfully easy to have around, happy in the company of other dogs but not at all bothered if they prefer to play without him; he is far more content observing their antics from the best seat in the house, usually the top spot on the couch. What he truly loves is being close to his humans, tucked into their arms, or curled beside them watching TV, gently tapping a front paw to remind you that he is there and would very much like a pat on the head or a cuddle on your lap.
Kookie has taken to his low‑fat Lyka meals with great enthusiasm, polishing off every bowl like a true champion. He would absolutely love a daily walk that is suited to a small dog who enjoys stretching his legs and taking in the world around him. He is also delighted wandering around the garden, sniffing the breeze and keeping an eye on the goats and chickens in the other paddock as they go about their day, he decided that chasing them would be lots of fun until I put a stop to that! He can run very fast when he sets his mind to it!
At night Kookie sleeps soundly on the bed beside you, nuzzling his little nose into your shoulder as you both drift off to sleep. He presses in as close as he can, sighs into dreamland, and wakes bright and early for a quick trip outside, breakfast, and then playtime with the grandchildren if they are up and about. He adores dog‑savvy children from around nine years and up, especially those who enjoy having a small dog on their lap or rolling the ball to him.
Kookie has epilepsy and is on two types of medication that he will need for life, both very reasonably priced. His condition is extremely well managed under the care of Dr Georgina Child, who prescribed his treatment and continues to oversee his wellbeing. He lives a full, happy life and does not let his condition define him.
The ideal home for Kookie would be with a retiree or retired couple who have grandchildren who visit and bring that special kind of joyful affection that dog‑loving kids naturally offer. He would also suit a family with older, children who understand how to be gentle with a small dog. He prefers his human to be home with him, but a peaceful resident dog would be a lovely companion for him if you need to step out. He must always have access to the garden through a doggie door or open door and loves to wander inside and out at his leisure.
His coat is beautiful and needs regular brushing to keep it soft and knot‑free, something he enjoys as part of his pampered routine. Kookie truly is a prince in a dog’s body, and he deserves a home that will cherish him in exactly that way.
* Please remember to include as much information as possible when applying to adopt Kookie. Home checks are done for all our dogs going into a new home.
If you meet the above criteria and think that your home might be just what Kookie is looking for, please fill the application form by clicking the button below ↓ or the QR code at the the bottom of the page.

FOSTER OR FOSTER‑TO‑ADOPT HOME NEEDED FOR BILLY IN SYDNEY TO CANBERRA TO NEWCASTLE.
BILLY is looking for a peaceful, one‑on‑one home where he can feel safe and settled. He must be the only dog in the household, so if you have other dogs, this won’t be the right match for him. Billy would also prefer a quieter home with just one other person to share his days with, as that is where he feels most secure.
He does best in a calm home with one person, ideally a woman who enjoys the company of a small dog who likes to be close. Billy follows you around with his ball, waits for playtime, curls beside you on the couch, and sleeps in his own bed through the night. He is housetrained, used to a dog door, travels well in the car, sits on command, enjoys his toys and is easy to brush, his coat will look best if you brush him often.
Billy walks nicely on lead and is friendly when he sees small dogs at a distance. He is frightened of bigger dogs and does not cope with busy places, dog parks or crowded cafés. He is best as the only dog in the home so he can relax and feel safe. He is a loyal little dog who wants a peaceful life with someone who understands him.

Bindi
Name: Bindi
Age: 1-2 years
Breed: Aussie Shepherd x Poodle
Sex: Female
Size: Large (26 kg weight)
Adoption fee: $650
Cat friendly: NA
Another dog in the home: Yes
Interstate adoption: NSW upto Newcatle and Canberra
Location: Mid north coast
R251 000 066
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BINDI PLEASE READ HER BIO THOROUGHLY. WE WILL EXCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM MID NORTH COAST DOWN; HER TRAINER WILL BRING BINDI TO HER NEW HOME AND CONTINUE TO OFFER SUPPORT AS SHE SETTLES IN. CITY LIVING IS NOT GOIND TO SUIT BINDI SHE NEEDS MORE OF A COUNTRY ENVIROMENT.
Bindi is a stunning Australian Shepherd x Poodle with piercing blue eyes and a big heart. She’s full of energy, intelligence, and enthusiasm for life, a true working breed mix who thrives with daily mental and physical challenges.
Bindi came into care over a year ago and has been living with her trainer, Jess. When she first arrived, she was overwhelmed and unsure of the world due to a lack of socialisation in her previous home. Over time, with patience, structure, and love, Bindi has made incredible progress. Now, she’s ready to find her forever home — one that understands her breed-driven needs and is committed to continuing her journey.
Bindi’s Favorite Activities
-Frisbee with tricks: A perfect mix of fun and mental stimulation.
-Tug games with obedience: Adding commands keeps her sharp and focused.
-Herding games: She loves her herding balls (always supervised, as she’ll play until she overheats!).
-Scent work: She’s started food-searching games and shows great promise in scent detection.
-Agility and trick training: Bindi loves to learn and perform new tricks, anything that challenges her mind and body.
-Beach runs and hikes: She enjoys stretching her legs and exploring nature.
Training & Skills
Bindi is a clever, driven girl who loves to work and learn. She currently knows:
-Sit
-Drop
-Recall
-Marker words and windows
-Weave
-Orbit
-Catch
-Around
-Leave it
Bindi thrives on structure and consistency. She currently does 4x 15–20 min training sessions daily, plus a bush hike or beach run, with one rest day per week (on which she still enjoys shorter sessions and enrichment).
She’s crate trained, and her new family should continue to reinforce that skill.
Ideal Home
-Bindi would do best:
-As the only dog in the home Bindi can be dog selective and benefits from one-on-one attention.
-With older children (15+) only, as she doesn’t realise her own strength.
-In a quiet, structured environment, preferably on acreage or a property, not in a busy city/suburb.
-With someone who is home more often than away and passionate about training and rehabilitation.
-With an adopter who can provide rules, structure, and consistency as she flourishes when boundaries are clear.
-She’s noise- and movement-sensitive (both common in her breed), so introductions to new people must be calm and controlled. When meeting her, it’s best to stay still, avoid direct eye contact, and let her come to you. Once she trusts you, she’ll melt your heart – leaning in for affection, wagging her whole body, and rolling over for belly rubs.
Grooming & Care
-Professional grooming every 6–8 weeks
-Daily brushing to prevent matting
-Enjoys chew toys like pig ears, bones, nylon chews, food puzzles, Kongs with frozen meat, and lickimats
Bindi’s Perfect Match
We’re looking for someone special, who kind, patient, and committed. Someone who sees beyond Bindi’s beautiful looks and recognises the incredible working dog beneath. A home where she’ll be given the time, love, and structure she needs to thrive.
Bindi has come so far on her journey and has so much love to give. With the right person, she’ll blossom into the loyal, affectionate, and talented companion she was always meant to be.
We will only respond to enquires that sound perfect for Bindi's needs.
* Please remember to include as much information as possible when applying to foster to adopt Bindi. Home checks are done for all our dogs going into a new home.

“As you can see from my profile picture, I am a very good-looking boy, I’m just a baby at 14 months old so am still learning things, but my foster Mum says I am smart and catch on quickly.
I love my food, dry food, and meatballs, with two small meals per day. I love treats too so if you need to if you need to teach me anything = Show me the treats."
"I am amazing on lead and will trot next to my foster sister. I also enjoy a good run around the oval.
I love my enclosed backyard and chase little lizards which keeps me occupied for hours (I don’t catch any) I’m inquisitive, so make sure there’s nowhere for me to escape!"
"My perfect home will be with an ACTIVE FEMALE who will walk me at least once a day because I only have short legs.
My foster Mum says I have a beautiful temperament and I’m always calm and relaxed when I am with her. I do however get a little nervous AROUND MEN and BOYS SCARE ME so I bark at them and try to chase them away so I will do best in an ALL-FEMALE HOME. (This doesn’t mean any grandkids-supervised visits I’ll be fine. I am not snappy, just scared.)"
"Whilst I enjoy laying outside in the sun, I would not like to sleep outside. I am a very clean little boy and love sleeping snuggled up on my foster Mums bed. She puts the fleece blanket over me, and I stay there all night."
"CAR TRIPS – I love these too. My foster Mum bought me a booster seat and its great because I can look out the window. I am a fantastic camper too."
"My foster Mum has shown me many new things and I’ve taken it all in my stride because I trust her, and she makes me feel safe. Once I learn to trust my new (Forever) Mum, I’ll be the same.
I would prefer no stairs; I climb the cat tree and the dining room table!"
Another dog in my home will be best for me.
A family who doesn’t go out to work for hours on end and leave me and my doggie friend all alone for a long time."

Celine was rescued from Campbeltown Pound in Sydney some time ago. She came into the pound with her daughter Gracie – both dogs were in horrific condition, and it was obvious to anyone that they had been used for breeding and looked to have had many, many litters! Both Gracie and Celine have required various surgeries and medication to bring them back to good health and are now enjoying a good life with their foster carers.
Celine is a very sweet dog, she has a beautiful personality with her humans, is very obedient and loves the dog she is living with. She goes out on walks around the neighbourhood and has been to the beach a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We believe that the best home for Celine will be as an only dog, she is a bit of a couch potato these days and does enjoy laying in her bed in the company of her human or toddling around the garden enjoying the cool breeze blowing in her face.
Celine is very much a house dog and must always have access inside, she does love children so a home with kids would also be nice for her. She is on the quieter side so a home with a retired couple would also be a nice option for her.

Remember the Famous Five pups we took in three weeks ago? Well look at this little sweetheart. Walter is perfect. Sweet, goofy, housetrained, confident, good in the car and full of puppy fun.
Everyone has a different idea of what these pups might be, we're as keen to know as you are! We've taken a DNA test but we're still waiting on the results. At 16 weeks a puppy is roughly half their adult weight, so these guys will probably be medium size. Regardless, Walter is perfect.
What Walter needs in his new home;
Another confident, playful dog that can handle puppy antics. He currently lives with two dogs. A doggy friend will give him security.
A family committed to ongoing, force free training. Make him part of your life, camping, long walks, kid sports, include him in your life.
Dog savvy kids over 6 are fine, he'd love brothers and sisters.
You'll need a fully fenced backyard, no apartments or town houses.

Kookie
Name: Kookie
Age: 9 years
Breed: Pomerarian
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Adoption fee: $495
Cat friendly: NA

Interstate adoption: NSW upto Newcastle and ACT Only
Location: Sydney
